Hadi Habibi became a candidate for Tehran provincial wrestling election – Mehr news agency Iran and world’s news



According to Mehr news agency, Mohammad Ebrahim Emami, the spokesman of the wrestling federation and the former secretary of the judges’ committee, was elected as the head of the Tehran wrestling board on June 29 this year, with the proposal of the wrestling federation and the approval of the general sports department of Tehran province. This happened while there were still a few months left until the end of the four-year term of Abdullah Azizi’s presidency in Tehran, and according to the legal period, he should remain in this position until December.

At the end of the four-month term of Imami’s leadership in this board, his leadership was extended until the elections were held and it was time to register candidates for the presidency.

Based on this, Hadi Habibi, one of Tehran’s former wrestlers, holder of several Asian medals, former president of the institute and committee of the wrestling federation, former coach and supervisor of the national freestyle wrestling team, registered today to participate in the elections of the Tehran provincial wrestling board.

The registration of the candidates for the presidency of the Tehran Provincial Wrestling Board started on November 30th and will end today. Before Habibi, Qasim Ali Asgari, the head of the administration of the wrestling federation, and Hassan Yarinia, the secretary of the Shahriar wrestling board and the former head of the Ilam wrestling board, had also registered to participate in the elections.
