Head of the University of Tehran: Cultural activities need a field of action
According to the IRNA Science and Education Group, Seyed Mohammad Moghimi said at the closing ceremony of the third University of Tehran Culture Festival on Wednesday: “The discussion of scientific and cultural centers strengthens the cultural identity of the University of Tehran and demands a different type and style of management.”
He pointed out: In the slogan of the new management period of the University of Tehran, we raised the issue of scientific jihad for the realization of the entrepreneurial university with the approach of social responsibility.
Moghimi continued: “Social entrepreneurship does not seek to gain material benefits, but seeks social benefits for individuals, and we are supposed to have the social entrepreneurs section of the university.” We will use it as a necessity and a culture must be created to continue these types of activities.
He added: “In the discussions that are raised about cultural management, when we examine the challenges and issues of the country, we relate all these issues to cultural problems, and this issue has been stated many times; But it should be said that we do not have a specific formula for the entire audience in this area because it is strongly influenced by special circumstances and this makes it difficult. Finally, we can say that there is no such model in the field of culture and only refers to what is done .
The head of the University of Tehran added: “In universities, various scientific groups and disciplines have their own demands, and serious activities should be done in this field, and these models should be practiced and presented to the society.”
He stated: “Currently, according to the available information, 70% of the country’s governing body consists of these cultural groups.” In fact, cultural activities are a place to practice social responsibility and in the discussion of social entrepreneurship is responsible for meeting the needs of society.
Addressing the students, Moghimi said: “These cultural skills are very learnable in the student environment; You can interact with officials or friends active in this field, because the opportunity to be a student in this field is the best opportunity, and you can practice responsible activities and be effective in building the future of the country.
He further pointed out: We suggested that the University of Tehran, considering the new Islamic civilization in the statement of the second step of the Islamic Revolution, consider a region for development. For this purpose, we proposed a region called “Sohrabieh” near Tehran, where the University of Tehran is responsible for the development of that region from zero to one hundred in terms of social, cultural, artistic and promotion of humanities, and we present a model for the University of Tehran to do.
Moghimi continued: we should have a social laboratory in this area and humanities should enter the society. Students should improve their skills in this region to witness the progress of the country, of course, the University of Tehran has examples of such skills that it gradually does.
He pointed to the issue of culture in society and said: Iran has a rich history in terms of culture, but why when we deal with various issues in the country, everything goes back to cultural issues, it is not yet clear, but this issue probably goes back to cultural management; Because it has not been fully addressed.
