Today (Friday) and on the third day of the world championships, Alireza Heydari, after the draw of rest in the first round, beat Giver Narsian from Armenia 2-0 in the second round, then he reached a 1-1 result against John Coleps from Spain. And he won with the law of his age. In the fourth round, Heydari defeated Marus Janvij from Slovakia 7-3.
In the semi-final, Heydari faced Hasan Mesaro, the 15th-ranked senior in the world, who had a bronze medal in the Emirates World League 2022. The match ended with a score of five to five, but Heydari defeated this Jordanian opponent with four votes in Hanty and went to the finals.
Heydari will go on the tatami in the final match to win the world championship gold medal on Sunday.
