According to Mehr’s reporter, the organization of the Federation of Wrestling League announced a while ago that it is planning to hold the World Club Cup in freestyle wrestling, and if the conditions are ready, this tournament will also be held in wrestling.
But as the news is coming from all corners, for now everything is conditional on the presence of financial sponsors so that the trustees of the wrestling federation and the league organization can host the Club World Cup in our country like in the past.
In this regard, it should be mentioned Hamid Yari, the head of the wrestling league organization, who believes: “It has been announced many times that we must have a sponsor to hold the World Club Cup, and fortunately, in free wrestling, the Petropalash Takestan club has accepted this issue.” Based on this, we can provide and pay the financial resources for awarding dollar prizes and all expenses, and as a result, we do not have a problem to hold these competitions in freestyle wrestling. Of course, in wrestling, we are waiting for the opinion and agreement of two football clubs of Khuzestan and Sepahan of Isfahan, that if a team or sponsor commits to providing funds, we will hold competitions in wrestling too.”
Of course, the organization of the wrestling league has expressed hope that by the end of this year, while holding the world club cup, the necessary plans will be made to attract more sponsors and teams to participate in the premier league next year.
At the same time, Alireza, the Secretary of the Wrestling Federation, in the coordination meeting with the officials of the league organization, praised the regular holding of the Azad Wrestling Premier League and said: “You should plan for the World Club Cup immediately after the end of the Persian Wrestling Premier League. “Also, the contracts of wrestlers and coaches should increase significantly in the Club World Cup and next year’s league.”
