According to Mehr News Agency and quoted from the website of the Football Federation, Dragan Skocic, the head coach of our country’s national football team, said after the decision of the board of this federation to continue working in the national football team: I thank the members of the board of the football federation for their trust. I spent hours for the Iranian national football team to reach the World Cup, and my colleagues and I made a lot of effort to overcome the difficult conditions that were in front of us.
He added: “Naturally, our view after advancing to the World Cup has been and will be the same.” I thank Mr. Majdi as the first person of the federation and the rest of the dear ones. Maybe there were problems in the last camp, but naturally, we use all points of view so that we can go to the World Cup with a good national team.
The head coach of the national football team emphasized: From today, all my attention is on the national team and the preparation of the players, because we want to prepare for the World Cup with unity, solidarity and motivation. The September camp is very important for us, and for this reason, I ask all the people of Iran, as well as those who are passionate about the country’s football and sports, to support the national team. We don’t look at the past, we look at the future, and we have to make double efforts in the difficult path we are on.
Skocic reminded: The Iranian people should be relieved that all the focus of the technical staff and players will be on the strong presence in the upcoming World Cup and I hope we will get acceptable results worthy of Iran’s dignity in Qatar.
