Investigating the reasons for the downfall of Iranian attackers / Why is the scorer table dominated by foreigners?

Mizan News Agency – while nineteen weeks of competition Premier League Gone are the scoring statistics. On the other hand, the top scorers of our Premier League are foreigners and occupy the first to third ranks.

Looking at the table of goalscorers of the Premier League, we understand that in order Godwin Mansha، Kevin Yamga And Luciano Pereira With 11, 8 and 7 goals, respectively, they are the top scorers in the Iranian league. Karim Islam is in the fourth place from textile with 6 goals scored. Mehdi Abdi, Saeed Sadeghi and Shahriyar Moghanlooi are also in the fifth place with 5 goals scored.

By looking at this table, two issues can be clearly felt; The first is the weakness of the Iranian attackers in scoring for their team and the second is the unfortunate goal-scoring statistics of the attackers after nineteen weeks, which is very worrying.

* Strange statistics of Premier League scorers

Godwin Mansha from Rafsanjan Copper with 11 goals, Yamgai Esteghlal with 8 goals and Pereira Foolad with seven goals are the top scorers in the Iranian League. The total number of goals scored by these three top scorers of the current season in the Premier League is 26 goals, which if we look at their statistics individually, the situation will be even worse and they have not even scored once in both games on average.

If we still consider the average statistics of these three strikers, they can be said to have averaged about 0.4 goals per game, which is a very low statistic, and they did not even score half a goal per game. This statistic is related to the top three foreign goal scorers in the Premier League. Unfortunately, the domestic strikers have statistically much worse statistics and have appeared so weak that there is a lot of concern for the continuation of league matches or even in the following seasons, and perhaps it is better to say that the future of the national team will arise.

* Where are the Iranian attackers?

It has happened before that foreign attackers shine in the Iranian league or even become the top scorer in the Premier League. Their presence even motivated domestic attackers and heated up the competitive market. The domestic attackers also competed with these foreigners and this competition was so interesting that it did not matter which of them would become Mr. Gol. The football fans just enjoyed the competition and that was enough.

This season, however, the shine is only from those foreign strikers, and the home team is far below the top of the goalscoring charts. Mansha is at the top of the table with 11 goals and the closest Iranian to him is Islami with 6 goals. This means a difference of 5 goals, which is a big difference with this scoring statistic.

If we look at the aluminum team, this team, which worked well in the early weeks, has now dropped to eighth place due to this lack of goals, and there is still no news of its strikers scoring. Sepahan, which has two of the best strikers in Iran, is in the worst condition and these two strikers are burning.

Esteghlal’s Iranian attackers are on the bench against foreigners, and in Persepolis, other attackers do not show much goals except Abdi. This poor number of Iranian attackers is very shocking and thought-provoking. It is necessary for Iranian football officials, clubs and coaches active in the Premier League to be sensitive to this issue and offer solutions to change the situation.

* Where is the problem?

Everyone may know that the number of goals scored in the Premier League has dropped dramatically, foreign attackers have snatched the lead from the Iranians and the Iranian attackers have deteriorated in terms of quality, but where is the problem and why did we have such a problem?

Undoubtedly, there are important factors for a striker to score. The most important of these factors in order to expect a striker to score are good physical condition, concentration, correct placement, mental fitness and correct understanding of the situation. When a striker is one step behind a good pass, or when he hits the ball with his foot instead of the side of his foot, or shoots the ball out of the box at the opponent’s goal, all examples of the absence of one of these factors in scoring.

The problem with our league is precisely that our coaches, instead of rehabilitating these five factors in the attackers, have turned to defensive games and often go to the field not to score and then to score. This also causes the scoring statistics to decline or all the players on the field to score instead of the attackers. That’s when we see that the number of attackers has decreased in scoring and has become even worse.

To score, the ball must reach the target striker to score. Now a team may want to use a shadow striker, which also requires the same five factors, and of course takes the goal out of the attackers’ circle and extends it to other players. On the other hand, a team may not be able to use these two modes and turn to free kicks, corners and direct play, in which case the number of attackers in scoring again decreases.

It is a fact that in the Iranian league, except for a few teams, most teams have improved the quality of defense and inadvertently reach the target attackers less, so if the goals are divided between the players on the field and the attackers’ share decreases, that is why.

These may be one of the reasons for the low scoring statistics of Iranian strikers, but there is no doubt that there are other influential factors that are less considered in our football. Part of this has to do with the clubs, the psychological conditions of the match, the conditions of the table, the mental calm and the social status of the player’s family, which we need to learn to use in football, which is supposed to be a profession, to improve quality.
