Mohammad Sarkohki said in an interview with IRNA on Saturday: These competitions were held from Thursday with the presence of 1,500 participants in the men’s and women’s section in Ahvaz, which was very well received.
He added: At the end of the competition, in the men’s division, where there were 1,000 participants, the Iranian team won the championship, and the Iraqi and Afghan teams won the second and third team titles, respectively.
While thanking the Ministry of Sports and Youth and the Federation for holding the tournament in Ahvaz, the head of the World Kyokushin Karate Organization WKFB said: The best men and women will be sent to the World Championships in Russia, which will be held in April.
He added: The athletes participating in these fights, including the foreign athletes, had a very good level, and this had contributed to the beauty of the competitions. Certainly, the Iranian team has a lot to say in this field and we are trying to add to the crowd of fans of this style day by day.
Sarkohki said: We are planning to organize various competitions in the country for the further development of this sport.
It should be mentioned that the competitions of the women’s division also ended yesterday with the championship of the Iranian women’s team.
