He added: “For the first time in Asia, we are witnessing international competitions in hotels, an event that has a history in Europe.” This way of holding competitions during the corona era has increased the safety and health of the participants in the competitions. The players eat and rest in the hotel during the matches, and this is a very good innovation from Iran.
“The level of athletes present at the competitions was very high and I was very happy to see quality athletes from Asian countries,” said the head of the World Federation Para-Taekwondo Competition Committee. The standards of taekwondo practitioners in Pakistan, India and Iraq were very high, and it is gratifying that taekwondo has developed in these countries as well. The position and technical level of Iranian athletes in world taekwondo has been proven and, as always, they performed well in Asian clubs.
Emphasizing Iran’s excellent hosting of international events, Deldar said: “I believe that Iran has the ability to host world competitions, Grand Prix and prestigious events, but unfortunately the conditions for holding competitions have become more difficult during the Corona era.” As the technical supervisor of the World Federation, I will definitely write a very good report on Iran’s hosting to the World Federation. For the first time in Asia, I see that the G1 tournament has the standard level of continental competitions.
Regarding the words of the President of the World Taekwondo Federation to turn the World Taekwondo Federation into the best world federation, he said: “The World Taekwondo Federation has already reached this important point.” The World Taekwondo Federation has been able to increase the competition of athletes in the world by innovating in electric Hugo systems. A member of the Council of the European Taekwondo Union noted that the World Taekwondo Federation not only pays attention to the growth of this discipline, but also pays attention to and helps immigrant athletes. Another important event is the World Federation’s support for athletes and talents who have lost their families for any reason. The World Taekwondo Federation is the only international federation that has an equal view of gender in the use of referees in international competitions and tournaments. Deldar emphasized: in terms of financial transparency, all expenditure reports are available on the website of the World Federation in a transparent manner. This performance shows that the World Taekwondo Federation is currently among the best international sports federations.
Regarding the timing of the next World Taekwondo Championships, he said: “In addition to hosting the World Taekwondo Championships, China also hosted the Winter Games and did not want many foreigners to enter the country due to the prevalence of Corona in the world.” This prompted China to postpone the tournament so that, as conditions improved, it might host the World Cup in April 2022 (April or May 1401). Of course, this date has not been decided yet and we have to wait for future decisions.
