According to IRNA, our deaf karate team became the champion of the World Deaf Karate Championship in the presence of Gholam Hossein Esmaili, Head of the President’s Office, and Seyed Hamid Sajjadi, Minister of Sports and Youth.
In this competition, which was hosted by our country, the teams of Ukraine, Russia, Turkey, Greece, Thailand and Malaysia won the second to seventh places, respectively.
Our deaf taekwondo team also became the world champion in the World Deaf Taekwondo Championships in the competitions that were held at the same time as the karate competitions in another hall.
