Iranian men’s Kurash team wins in Asia / Women’s third



According to IRNA, today, Sunday, on the final day of the Asian Kurash Championships hosted by Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, the Iranian national team competed in eight weight categories (3 weight categories for men and 5 weight categories for women). Gold was 2 silver and 1 bronze.

In the women’s section in the 48 kg weight category, Leila Siahoushi was eliminated in the first round and was eliminated from the competition.

In the weight of 57 kg, Fatemeh Shabani experienced a similar fate to Siahushi and was eliminated in the same round.

In the 63kg category, Sadaf Biranvand became a finalist after defeating her opponents, but lost in the final to Uzbekistan’s Khanidova and finished runner-up.

In the 78 kg weight category, which was held periodically, Saba Karamali became the runner-up after the Uzbek representative and won the silver medal.

Fatemeh Barmaki (87+ kg) first defeated Yang Yachan from Taipei and then Jitima from Thailand and reached the final. She relied on the championship and won the last gold of the century in women’s sports in the last seconds of 1400.

In the men’s 60kg category, Ali Mohammadi Brimanloo defeated Arm Khayan of Thailand to reach the semifinals, but lost in the semi-final to Kovatov of Tajikistan and finished third.

In the 73kg category, Elias Pakdel defeated Raghul Kumar of India and then Wu Sun of Vietnam to advance to the final. Pakdel defeated Tajik Sobhuddin in the final to win the title.

In the 100-kg weight class, Javad Moradi won the fight with Rahmani from Afghanistan. He defeated Wisley of India in the second fight and became a finalist. In the final match, Moradi defeated Sharali of Uzbekistan and won a valuable gold medal.

Thus, at the end of the 11th Asian Kurash Championship, the Iranian men’s team won three gold, two silver and one bronze medals out of a total of seven weights, and our country’s women’s team won one gold, three silver and two bronze medals in eight weights. Achieved a valuable third.
