According to Mehr News Agency, last night, in the first and second days of the Petko Sirakov and Ivan Ilyaf Cup, in the 72 kg weight category, Mohammad Reza Rostami won 9-0 against Kryl Minko of Kazakhstan, 9-5 and technically defeated Petr Gornyashki of Bulgaria. The semi-final stage took place. At this stage, he also won against Alikhan Kokenov with a result of 5: 1 and reached the final match. In the final match against Rostami, he defeated Abdullah Topark from Turkey and won the gold medal.

In the 82 kg weight category, Mohammad Hossein Mahmoudi won the first round against Ivaylo Ivanov of Bulgaria 6-3, but was unable to compete in the second round due to injury and finished fourth.

The competitions of these weights were held periodically with the representatives of our country in a group of 3 people.

In the qualifying competitions of the second day and in the weight of 87 kg, Hamidreza Badkan also won in the four-person group competitions against Valery Alexiev from Bulgaria with a result of 11: 2. In the next round, he passed Kazakhstan’s Jantas Nurgali Dam with a score of 8: 0, and in the third round, he reached the semi-finals as the first person due to the absence of Maxat Saylav from Kazakhstan. At this stage, he won 10-2 with a technical kick against Kaloyan Ivanov from Bulgaria and reached the final. Badkan will face Sarijicek Mohotin from Turkey in the final match.

In the 97kg weight class, which was held periodically with five wrestlers, Morteza al-Ghouthi won the first round 10-8 against Islam Mumayev of Kazakhstan. In the next bout, he overcame Atanas Ivanov of Bulgaria 8-0, but lost 12-3 to Oljun Mustafa of Turkey in the third round. Al-Ghouti won the silver medal in his last fight with a result of 4: 1 over Mindogas Vanchatis barrier in Lithuania.

In the 130 kg weight category, which was held periodically with the presence of 4 wrestlers, Alireza Hasanvand in the first fight with a result of 4: 0 and a technical blow over the Toshko Anglov barrier from Bulgaria, but in the next two matches with a result of 3: 1 lost to Bozkurt Fatih From Turkey and 4-0 and technically defeated Alibek Sarsengaliev from Kazakhstan and won the bronze medal.
