According to IRNA, the Supreme Sports Court today (Thursday, 10 September 1401) by sending an email to the Judo Federation, issued its final decision regarding the Iranian Federation’s complaint case.
The text of the email sent by the Supreme Court of Sports to Iran Judo Federation states:
Iran’s complaint regarding the decision issued by the Sports Arbitration Court has been rejected and Iran’s four-year ban will continue until the end of September 1402.
The point that attracts attention in the letter sent by CAS to the Judo Federation is that among the signatories of the judgment announced for Iran, the name of Ahmadreza Barati, a legal expert and a member of the Football Federation’s Board of Directors, is also visible.
After the 2019 World Championships, the World Judo Federation permanently suspended the Iranian Federation. After Iran’s complaint, the Supreme Sports Court announced that the duration of this ban should be specified. After the CAS ruling, the World Federation this time ordered a four-year suspension of Iran’s judo, and now it has confirmed this ruling.
