According to the Mehr reporter, Iranian wrestling has important events ahead of it in 2022, which will start in April next year with the participation in the Asian Championship. The tournament, which will be hosted by the Mongolian city of Ulaanbaatar, and the freestyle wrestlers sent to these competitions were recently identified and introduced by participating in the national championship.
Of course, there are two other important international arenas for wrestlers, such as the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, and the World Championships in Serbia. For this reason, the technical staff of the national freestyle wrestling team has planned a program to equip and prepare the national team, which will start in March with the establishment of the army.
In this regard, we can refer to the recent remarks of “Behnam Ehsanpour”, the coach of the national freestyle wrestling team, who believes that the camp to prepare for the Asian Championships, Asian Games and the 2022 World Championships will begin in March. According to the young national team coach, wrestlers must compete in various competitions according to the national team selection cycle, and even world medalists who are exempt from the throne must be tested in international tournaments.
According to the selection cycle of the national freestyle wrestling team, the first members of the national championships were allowed to participate in the Asian championships. Thus, Reza Momeni (57 kg), Dariush Hazrat Gholizadeh (61 kg), Rahman Amouzad (65 kg), Mohammad Mehdi Yeganeh Jafari (70 kg), Younes Emami (74 kg), Ali Savadkoohi (79 kg), Mohsen Mostafavi (86 kg) ), Amir Hossein Firoozpour (92 kg), Mohammad Hossein Mohammadian (97 kg) and Yadollah Mohebbi (125 kg) were introduced as the passengers of the Asian Championship in Mongolia.
According to the Mehr correspondent, the fourth camp of the national freestyle wrestling team after the world competitions started on February 29, and the training will end tomorrow (February 7) at the wrestling house of Martyr Mostafa Sadrzadeh.
