
According to IRNA, the 7th round of the Asian Parakwondo Championship, which started this morning (Tuesday, the first of September) with the participation of 65 taekwondo athletes from different countries, hosted by Vietnam in the “Army” Hall of Ho Chi Minh City, with the women’s national team winning the championship and the team’s runner-up The men of our country have finished. In total, our country’s team won two divisions.
The Iranian national team of 11 representatives finished their work in this event with 9 medals. Our country’s national women’s parakwondo team won 4 gold medals for Maryam Abdullahpour, Mahdiah Hosseini, Mehtab Naboi, Raiha Shahab and 2 silver medals for Roza Ebrahimi and Romina Chamsourki.
The teams of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan won the second and third titles, respectively, after the Iranian national teams.
In the men’s group, Iranian taekwondo athletes won 2 gold medals and 1 bronze medal. Alireza Bakht and Hamed Haqshenas won 2 gold medals and Saeed Sadeghianpour won a silver medal. The Japanese national team won the first place in the men’s group, while Uzbekistan came in third, lower than Iran.
As a team, the Iranian national team won 9 medals and was named the champion of Asian parakwondo.
In these competitions, Morteza Soltani was the leader of the national parakwondo team in the men’s division, and Ali Karimi Saber accompanied him as a coach. In the women’s section, Atefeh Keshavarz was the head coach and Zahra Hosseini led the national team. Also, Masoud Lashkari was in charge of the Iranian convoy.
