Atai’s students, who had an unexpected performance in the third and fourth sets and played with the pride of winning the first two sets, had no chance to make a mistake in the fifth set. At the beginning of the fifth set, both teams had a back-and-forth game, but later on, the Poles gained more points and became the top team.
After Poland’s fifth service point, Atai called for a timeout. The good performance of the Iranian players in the critical points at the end tied the result. But Morteza Sharifi broke the serve and the score was 14-13 in favor of Poland.
