At the end of the preliminary rounds, Amir Mohammad Yazdani in the weight of 70 kg and Amir Ali Azarpira in the weight of 97 kg defeated their opponents and made it to the semi-final stage.

In the weight of 57 kg, young Ahmad Mohammadnejad passed the barrier of Manuel Khandzartsyan from Armenia in the first round with a score of 5:4. In the next round, he was defeated by Horst Lehr, the under-23 European champion from Germany, with the result of 9-4, and due to the defeat of this wrestler in the next round, the representative of our country withdrew from the competition.
In the weight of 65 kg, Kian Mahmoudjanlu lost to Hamze Alaja from Turkey in the first fight with the result of 7-8 and he must wait for this wrestler’s appearance in the final match so that he can continue his work in the losers group to win a bronze medal.
In the weight of 70 kg, after taking a break in the first round, Amir Mohammad Yazdani defeated the Asian champion Talgat Sirbaz from Kazakhstan with a score of 15:5 in the second round and reached the quarter final stage. In this stage, he passed the barrier of Kota Takahashi from Japan with a score of 17:7 and made it to the semi-final stage. In this meeting, Yazdani will fight against Yahya Thomas from America.
In the weight of 79 kg, Mohammad Nakhudi withdrew from the competition due to not reaching the legal weight.
In the weight of 97 kg, Amir Ali Azarpira defeated Vasil Sova from Ukraine in the first round with a score of 12:2 and made it to the quarter final stage. In this stage, he defeated Richard Vagh from Hungary with a score of 10:0 and made it to the semi-final stage. Azarpira will face Ertugrul Agja from Germany in this match.
The semifinals of the above weights will be held at 18:15 tonight.
