Iran’s volleyball opponents in the Olympic qualifiers have been determined/first station; Brazil!

According to the sports reporter of Fars news agency, the 33rd edition of the Olympic Games will be hosted by Paris in 2024, and indoor volleyball will experience its 16th appearance in this important sports event. The World Volleyball Federation (FIVB) has announced the promotion of 24 teams (12 men’s and 12 women’s teams) to the Paris 2024 Olympic indoor volleyball tournament, and as the host, France has won the first quota in each gender group.

The other 11 teams in each men’s and women’s division will be determined in two stages, six teams in each division will win the 2024 Olympic quota in the Olympic qualifiers, and the remaining teams will be determined after the 2024 League of Nations qualifying table is determined.

The World Volleyball Federation announced the hosts of the 2024 Olympic qualifiers. The competitions of four groups of men (two groups) and women (two groups) will be held in the Asian continent and in the countries of China and Japan. The third will be hosted by Brazil in the men’s group and Poland in the women’s group. Therefore, the four countries of Japan, China, Brazil and Poland will host the best volleyball teams in the world, who will compete fiercely for the Olympic quota.

Today, the draw ceremony of these competitions was held, during which the Iranian national team was grouped in the first group, hosted by Brazil, with the teams of Brazil, Italy, Cuba, Ukraine, Germany, the Czech Republic and Qatar.

In the second group of this tournament hosted by Japan, the teams of America, Slovenia, Serbia, Turkey, Tunisia, Egypt and Finland will compete. Teams from Poland, Argentina, Netherlands, Canada, Mexico, Belgium and Bulgaria will be present in the third group.

Men’s competitions will also be held from September 30 to October 8, 2023 (October 8 to 16, 1402). After following the Olympic qualifiers, the first and second teams of each men’s group will receive Paris quota.

Five more teams will be determined at the end of the qualifying stage of the Volleyball Nations League 2024 based on the FIVB ranking, which will complete the 12 participating teams in Paris, along with France as the host.

It should be noted that the World Volleyball Federation had previously announced the 2023 World Cup as one of the qualifying competitions for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, which will be hosted by Japan.
