According to the Mehr News Agency and quoted by the Wrestling Federation, the national freestyle wrestling team of our country returned to the country with 2 gold and one bronze in the World Union ranking tournament hosted by Tunisia this morning.
Yunus Emami, the 74 kg freestyler of our country, said about these competitions: This ranking competition gave us the privilege to be among the 8 people in the World Championships of Serbia. The competition level was not high and there were only 2 other wrestlers in my weight class, but I was able to win the gold medal.
He added: It was good that we are not far from the competition and we participated in a tournament before the World Championship. I hope I get the most beautiful medal in the World Championship. My opponents were not prominent in Tunisia, but the fact that the athlete’s mind is on the race and concentrates will lead to progress.
According to Mehr reporter, the Tunisian international wrestling competition was held as one of the ranked competitions of the World Union on July 25 and 26, at the end of which 5 representatives of our country won 2 gold medals and 1 bronze medal. In this way, Younes Emami in 74 kg weight and Mohammad Nakhudi in 79 kg weight won the gold medal and Alireza Sarlak won the bronze medal in 57 kg weight. Ali Sawadkohi in weight 79 kg and young Ahmad Mohammadnejad in weight 57 kg also withdrew from the competition round.
