Kamrani: I hope the good memories of the past are repeated

According to IRNA, Mehdi Kamrani added on the sidelines of the national basketball team camp: “Unfortunately, we do not have Hamed Haddadi and Samad Nikkhah Bahrami among us in this window. I would have loved to be with these two former teammates and repeat the memories of the past.”

He continued: “Of course, now we have players who can play well for the national team and I hope we can achieve another success together.”

The captain of the basketball team said: “Unfortunately, due to Corona, some of our programs were changed and some national team players were caught, in this situation, the body drops a little.” New people have been added to us, but the important thing is the motivation of the team, which is high, and we want to perform well against Kazakhstan and Syria.

Kamrani stressed that Kazakhstan has always been physical and superior to us in terms of height, but their style is European and this makes it difficult for us. We must continue the success of the national team and reach higher positions.

It is worth mentioning that the Iranian national basketball team is preparing for the second qualifying window of the 2023 World Cup. Our national team will play in the second window of the 2023 World Cup qualifiers on Thursday, March 26, against Kazakhstan, and on Sunday, March 29, against Syria. These competitions are hosted by Iran.
