Karmi: Taekwondo does not have good conditions

According to IRNA, Youssef Karmi said on the sidelines of the unveiling of his Sardis at the National Sports Museum: Unveiling Sardis is a good thing. I have always said that financial discussions are temporary, but spiritual discussions are permanent. This shows that the officials appreciate the heroes and motivates those who win medals in the future.

Regarding his presence in Pakistan as a head coach, he said: After I accepted Pakistan’s offer, many people said why Pakistan? But I would like to start national coaching where I can have a good impact. In a short period of time, we got good results and Pakistani taekwondo players made good progress and won the bronze medal in Asia.

The Iranian Taekwondo veteran reminded about cooperation with the Taekwondo Federation: I am a member of the technical committee, but in order to be in the technical staff and coach, the conditions must be ready. I would like to be in Iran first of all.

He answered the question, what issues do you have in mind? He said: “Technical, financial and facilities discussion, and besides that, the atmosphere governing Taekwondo is important.” Most importantly, I felt that it is better not to be because Taekwondo is not in a good condition and miracles cannot be done in a short period of time. Everyone who comes expects a miracle.

Youssef Kerami answered the question under what conditions can Taekwondo return to its peak days? He said: It is a difficult task and other countries are progressing. We have to work harder to reach the previous position.
