Kata World Championships Two Iranian kata judo teams deservedly became finalists


According to Fars news agency, the world kata judo competition, which started yesterday in Abu Dhabi, UAE, will end today (Sunday, November 7).

On the second day of these competitions, Iran had 4 teams in “Kime no Kata” and “Goshin Jutsu” and finally 2 teams became finalists.

Wahab Bardi and Yashar Ruhollahzadeh in “Kimeh No Kata” as well as Mohammad Hassan Salari and Mohammad Reza Sahrai in “Goshin Jutsu” won in their group and deservedly reached the top 6.

Mahmoud Afzali and Mohammad Hedayati still have a chance to advance to the finals.

The finals of these competitions will start at around 14:30 local time.

Yesterday (Saturday) the Iranian team won a bronze medal by Ali Vahid and Reza Mirzaei in “Katame No Kata”.
