According to the sports reporter of Tasnim news agency, Kaveh Rezaei, who was banned from playing in the second half of the season according to the decision of the Football Federation’s status committee, filed a complaint with the CAS court against Esteghlal, Tractor Tabriz and the Football Federation. This court asked Esteghlal, Tractor and Football Federation to present their defenses.
Before the start of this season, Rezaei reached an agreement with Esteghlal and participated in the team’s training, but because the blue-collar team’s list was full and Esteghlal club officials could not remove a player from the list, he went to Tractor Tabriz with a contract. Rezaei wanted to return to Esteghlal for the second half of the season, for this reason he unilaterally terminated his contract with Tractor, which immediately met with Tabrizi residents’ protest, and finally the status committee, after reviewing the terms of this player’s contract, on the 20th In February of last year, by issuing its decision, it declared the termination of Rezaei’s contract with Tractor as illegal.
According to this decision, Rezaei could not play for this team or any other club in the second half of the season due to the termination of the contract with Tractor, and practically he should stay away from the field until the end of the season, which also happened to the former striker of the national team.
Following this incident, Kaveh Rezaei has filed a complaint against the Esteghlal, Tractor and Football Federation clubs to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
