According to Tasnim news agency, Erling Holland, whose separation from Borussia Dortmund seems to be final at the end of the current season, is his next destination in the English Premier League. According to the English publication “Athletic”; Manchester City have reached a personal agreement with Erling Holland and the English club is expected to officially hire the Norwegian striker this week after paying a termination fee.
The 21-year-old striker, who joined Borussia Dortmund from Salzburg in the 2019 winter window, has made 88 appearances for the club, scoring 85 goals and 23 assists. Erling, who has a contract with Dortmund until 2024, has a termination clause of 64 million pounds (75 million euros) in his contract with Dortmund.
Manchester City are set to sign the Dortmund goal scorer on a five-year deal with a tempting 500 500,000-a-week salary. Holland’s father also played for Manchester City for three years during his playing career and played in 38 games for the team.
“What is certain is that Bayern Munich is the next club,” said Hassan Salehimidzic, the sporting director of Bayern Munich, in a recent statement in response to rumors that the club was interested in signing Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski as a replacement for Sport One. Erling will not be the Netherlands.
“I think we will have transparency about the future of Erling next week,” Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zurk told Sport One yesterday about the future of the Dutch profession.
Other big European clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona, Liverpool, Real Madrid and Manchester United, are also interested in signing the player from Borussia Dortmund.
