“Goddess Mansoorian” In an interview with IRNA, one of Iran’s proud wushu players said about participating in the women’s national team qualifiers: “I think the distance from the competitions has affected the performance of Sandakaran and, as I expected, the opponents could not challenge me.”
He added: “Certainly, with the continuous holding of camps, the technical training conditions of Sandakaran women will increase and we can definitely be a good help to each other to achieve success in competitions.”
Mansoorian, who competed in the weight of 52 kg, continued: In this weight, in addition to me, Arezoo Salimi and 2 young Sandakar are present. In 60 kg, my sisters (Soheila and Shahrbanu) are Sedighe Daryaee and a young wushu player. We are all trying to get a license to participate in the Hangzhou Asian Games. The women’s Sunday competitions in the Asian Games are held in these two weights only.
The experienced wushu player continued by stating that the conditions of the Asian Games are not comparable to any other event in Wushu: I have participated in these games three times and I have won one silver and two bronze medals. My goal has always been to win a gold medal, but the Asian Games are really different. The conditions of judgments and views are different, and it seems that China should win all the gold.
“Even in 2014, when the games were held in Incheon, South Korea, we felt that China was the host,” he said. China only wants gold from every wushu player it sends. Believe me, wushu competitions in the Asian Games are very different from world championships at all.
Mansoorian said: “In addition to attending the national team camps, I have planned 2 camps and a European competition, and I have also informed the officials of the federation and the staff.” It is definitely in my interest to attend these European camps so that I can prepare to participate in Hangzhou with more strength.
“I know I have to coordinate with the federation,” said the Iranian wushu national. They have also supported to some extent, and we must all work together to achieve our goal of success in Hangzhou.
The world wushu champion said about his European programs: “I have a camp and a competition in the Netherlands on March 20 and June 15 next year in Germany, and I hope to face the support of the federation officials.”
“Today (Tuesday) the members of the women’s wushu team took a physical fitness test, which I am sure we are one of the best in this field,” she said. Everyone is motivated and the younger ones have to raise the technical level of their struggles.
“They increased the amount of my contract, but I did not renew it,” Mansoorian said, noting that his cooperation with the China Professional Confederation Organization had ended. The conditions for quarantine and presence in China are difficult, and from now on I will fight in a new European organization.
