Martial Arts in 1400 / Successful, failed, fringe with a surprise

According to IRNA; Martial arts can never be left out of the basket of medals and honors of Iranian sports in important events.

Fields that have repeatedly hoisted the flag of Islamic Iran in continental, world, Asian Games and even the Olympics, but it seems that they can not go far from the margins.

In this report, we take a look at the important events of the Iranian martial arts federations in 1400:

Karate; Ganjzadeh pure gold and the return of age groups to foreign fields

The most popular martial arts in Iran and the world had a successful year, and this can be seen in the results and other cases.

Karate competed in the Olympics for the first time, and Sajjad Ganjzadeh won a historic gold medal in Tokyo. Although the team did not perform well in the women’s section, Ganjzadeh’s gold covered the issue.

Then the big karate convoy of Iran in all age categories in the Asian Championships of Kazakhstan went on the tatami and became the champion. After three years, Iranian karatekas, teenagers and young hopefuls went to international events and became proud again.

This year, the Men’s Karate League, after a one-year hiatus due to Corona, numerous national team programs and participation in international competitions; It is finally over. Of course, karate leagues are expected to be held more regularly next year.

The celebration of the top coaches and karate champions was another positive step.

Karate is expected to complete important events with the best results next year with its experienced management staff and well-known coaches such as Shahram Heravi.

Taekwondo; Failure in Tokyo and “Saei” surprise

Taekwondo, one of the most successful disciplines in the history of Iranian sports, suffered an unexpected defeat in 1400, the most important event of which was the Tokyo Olympics. The Iranian team could not even win a bronze medal in this competition, so that all efforts, written plans, holding league competitions, national championships and other measures were questioned.

This was the first time that Iranian Taekwondo was left empty-handed in the Olympics. An incident that culminated in criticism of the federation’s management performance.

The federation elections were held in mid-December, and “Hadi Saei”, the most honored Olympian in the history of Iranian sports, became the new president of the federation with 29 votes against 27 votes of “Seyed Mohammad Poladgar”.

However, Poladgar left the federation after more than two decades of presidency, which was accompanied by ups and downs, but a few days later, he became the Deputy Minister of Championship Sports Development of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, so that this experienced manager could go to Seoul Street.

Saei was sentenced after 50 days to become the president of one of the largest sports federations in Iran. Hadi has a hard way and we hope he uses the best and the most worthy and does not think about settling personal accounts.

Wushu; Get rid of foreign and active competitions in the country

Due to the inactivity of world and continental federations in this field, Iranian wushu had a quiet year and turned its attention to domestic programs.

Holding wushu fighters’ competitions in the Sanda section, setting up the men’s and women’s leagues, national championships in various categories, and starting national team camps along with training courses were among the main plans of the federation officials to get out of the monotony.

Next year, of course, Wushu will host the Asian Games in Hangzhou, the World Games in the United States, the Chinese Universiade, the Student Games, the Asian Youth Games, the World Youth Championships in Indonesia, the World Cup in Taloo, and the World Cup in Kurash.

A federation that, with its young director, seeks to replicate the successes of Mehdi Alinejad’s presidency.

boxing; Daniel’s valuable medal and re-margin

Iranian boxing had a good year in terms of results. “Daniel Shahbakhsh” won a bronze medal in the world championship. This was the first medal in the history of Iran in world competitions that comes to mind.

Although for some time some people have raised various margins and claimed that this medal was purchased by the Iranian Federation with a high figure, but this claim has not been proven and in no way can question the value of Shahbakhsh’s great work.

In the Asian Adult Championship, our national team also performed well after a long time, and the presence of young and worthy people has given us hope for the bright future of this team.

At the Tokyo Olympics, Shahin Mousavi and Daniel Shahbakhsh were the two Iranian boxing representatives in the ring, but their performance is not defensible. Expectations were higher from Alireza Esteki شا گردان’s students in the Olympics.

Mousavi lost to the host team in the first round and Shahbakhsh also won the first game, but a forehead injury became a problem for him. Although he faced the Cuban representative in the second game and in the second round the game was interrupted due to injury to lose, it was quite clear that Shahbakhsh had nothing to say in that fight.

Elections for the federation were held in January, and “Hossein Thori” took the helm of the federation for the second consecutive term. A federation that, if united and free from the margins, can succeed in the Hangzhou Asian Games.

This election was also accompanied by a lot of margins before and after. The allegiance of several members of the Assembly to both candidates and the speeches and claims made by the parties showed that boxing has a long way to go in empathy and unity.

Judo; Trying to survive and get rid of the suspension

Martial Arts in 1400 / Successful, failed, fringe with a surprise

Iranian judo is still suspended and the final verdict of the sports arbitration court regarding the Iranian judo case is scheduled to be issued soon.

Although judo is suspended and may last until 1402, the federation’s internal activities continue with league, national championship, grand prize competitions, national team camps, and joint camps with other countries.

If the suspension is lifted, Iranian judo will face Asian Games and various competitions to qualify for the Paris Olympics. If the suspension remains; Iranian judo is played in games of Islamic countries and competitions that are not under the supervision of the World Federation.

The efforts of Arash Mirasmaili and his colleagues to get rid of the suspension and survive this ancient discipline continue.
