According to the Mehr reporter, last night the Asian Football Confederation announced two letters to the Iranian Football Federation about the latest professional status of Esteghlal Tehran and Persepolis clubs.
In its letter to the Iranian Football Federation, the AFC thanked the Professional Licensing Committee for its efforts to ensure that the submitted cases did not comply with the complaints of domestic players, and asked the Football Federation to respond to the letters along with the ownership status of these clubs. Report these practical cases to this international body in Asia within five days.
The AFC confidential letter to the Football Federation states that if the property and financial problems (regarding the letters and complaints of former players) are not resolved by Monday evening next week, both clubs will be eliminated according to the rules of the Champions League and other clubs will represent Iran. With Khuzestan Steel and Sepahan Isfahan will participate in these competitions; The letter was given to Hassan Kamranifar, the secretary general of the federation, so that he could have an emergency meeting with Shahabuddin Azizi Khadem, the president of the football federation in Isfahan.
Officials of the Football Federation are in Isfahan to participate in the elections of the Football Board of Isfahan Province, and they are scheduled to complete their business trip by this evening, so that they can respond to the AFC immediately without wasting time. Azizi Khadem intends to visit the Minister of Sports Hamid Sajjadi tomorrow morning, if possible, so that they can find a solution to this problem.
The corridors of the Football Federation were also waiting for the announcement of Mark Wilmots’ verdict, but there was no news from the Supreme Sports Court until noon today, so that the federation residents are still anxious to receive this letter. The verdict in this case is said to have been postponed again.
Azizi Khadem hopes that the CAS court will reduce part of FIFA’s initial ruling on Iran’s debt to the former head coach of the national football team, given the defense of the Football Federation.
According to this verdict, the Football Federation has been sentenced to pay 6 million 137 thousand and 500 Euros to the former Belgian head coach of the national team, which is accompanied by an annual profit of five percent.
Stressful days for Iranian club and national football have come again, while former officials of the federation and Esteghlal and Persepolis clubs have remained silent about it.
