According to Fars News Agency, Soheil Mehdi stated regarding the presence of spectators in the capital derby: We have been waiting for the presence of our dear fans on the platforms for years. Maybe the presence of spectators in the derby is the first chapter of this book, and we want spectators to be present in all stadiums. Up to 30% is approved by the Provincial Security Council and the instructions of the Supreme Council of the Ministry of Interior. According to the decision of the Provincial Security Council, up to 30% can use the spectator’s side. So far, efforts are being made to make this happen (the presence of spectators in the capital derby) and the initial approval has been made.

Regarding whether women can also participate in the derby at the stadium, he said: “Regarding the domestic league, we are still witnessing the presence of men, because the issue of hospitality, accommodation and reception, and these cases have not been provided in all stadiums in the country.” Only Azadi Stadium, according to the national games, has these conditions for the presence of women, but we have problems in this regard in other stadiums.

The head of the competition committee, who spoke to Channel 5’s stadium program, said that some teams, such as Nesaji and Sepahan, had only protested to the spectators during the derby: “Protocols have been issued for the whole country and any stadium that provides infrastructure and final approval.” There is no problem. First, they have to provide two doses of vaccine and a ticketing system and gates. After the approval of the Ministry of Interior, they can now host the spectators.

Regarding the time of the derby, Mehdi said: “Our request is that 15:30 is not a good time.” Our request is that the game be held in the evening and we hope that this assistance will be provided.
