Milan decided to build a dedicated stadium

According to the Tasnim news agency, it seems that the previous plan of the Milan and Inter clubs to build a joint new stadium and move from San Siro has been rejected. According to the newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rossoneri are planning to build a new stadium for themselves separately from their city rivals, and for this purpose, they have considered three locations.

Milan’s previous plan, which was introduced last year under the title “Church Project”, was to partner with Inter in the construction of a new stadium, but apparently the lack of coordination between the two clubs has made Milan think of building its own stadium.

The three locations that the Rossoneri have considered for the construction of their stadium include the Sesto Sangiovani area in the suburbs of Milan, which seems to have been given the green light by the Milan City Council. The advantage of this location is the availability of plenty of space for the construction of a stadium and ancillary facilities, but this option will mean that the Milan team will have to play outside the city of Milan for the first time in its history.

The second location is the San Donato area, which is also located on the outskirts of Milan, and the third option is a 75-hectare plot of land in the Lamaura area, not far from San Siro, owned by the FCMA group.

Milan’s 9 million euro income from their recent home game against Tottenham last week in the European Champions League, which was the highest income of an Italian team from holding a European game, has made the heads of the Rossoneri think that with the construction of a new stadium, all the income from hosting home games Keep it for yourself.
