According to IRNA; Arash Mirasmaili At the end of the General Assembly of the Judo Federation, he stated: There were no problems and the assembly was held well. The discussion of the audit of the federation, the report of the inspector and the treasurer, and the decisions that had to be made were accompanied by the majority of votes, which is a great honor that our assembly representing Iran’s judo is really sympathetic and united.
He said: “We would have liked to open the academy today, but the economic conditions were difficult, and we can do this in about a week to two weeks.” I have to thank the Ministry of Sports and the National Olympic Committee, although we expected serious support. We were oppressed in the budget discussion and we hope that they will have a special look. I thank the Minister of Sports and the President of the National Olympic Committee for the consultations they had for Iran’s judo.
Mirasmaili in response to the question that if the final vote is not issued, is there a possibility of participating in the upcoming Olympic Games with the IOC flag? He explained: The dignity of our country’s flag is greater than wanting to participate in competitions with the IOC flag. The date that was announced yesterday for the Asian Games is after the date of the suspension of the Judo Federation, which was a very good news, and even though we will be suspended for the next year, our national team will be able to participate in the Asian Games.
Regarding the uncertainty of the situation of a Turkish coach to accept the leadership of the Iranian team, he said: the agreements with this coach had been finalized, but he is an employee of the Turkish Olympic Committee and his presence was subject to the announcement of the Judo Federation court’s decision. If there is a negative vote, the issue will naturally be rejected, and if the vote is positive, the issue of his presence in Iran will be finalized.
Regarding participation in the games of Islamic countries, Mirasmaili said: I hope for the judokas, but we have an unequal war and this is because we were away from the fields for 3 years and our opponents were all in the camp. Our situation is difficult, but our children also worked hard and I know that they will do their best and we hope that they will be able to defend the justice of Iran’s judo oppression for three years.
