The day I took over the Judo Federation, 61,000 people were registered in the system, but today it has reached 108,000 people. 12 judo halls have been opened all over the country.
Mirasmaili said: “Definitely, great heroes from these sports halls will be introduced to Iran and the world.” The camp of national judo teams will become a big base and we invite coaches to come here and hold fruitful classes here. They took the Al-Afrasiabi hall from us and our effort was to provide a good place for judo. For many years, the big heroes and I trained in this hall, which had no facilities, but now it has been updated and has all the necessary conditions.
He said: only 291 million Tomans were spent by the federation for the renovation and completion of the hall, and the rest was borne by financial sponsors and benefactors.
The head of the Judo Federation continued: “The preliminary measures of the dormitory, which is adjacent to the hall, have been done and we have even purchased its skeleton, and with the assistance of the Ministry of Sports and the Development Company, it will be put into operation soon.”
