According to IRNA, the National Olympic Committee elections are scheduled to be held on the 6th of September after several postponements.
Based on this, Arash Mirasmaili, the president of the Judo Federation, who had registered for the post of president as well as the executive committee and had conducted many consultations in recent months, withdrew in favor of Mahmoud Khosraviwafa.
However, Mirasmaili will participate in the election of the executive committee of the National Olympic Committee.
In a letter addressed to Seyed Reza Salehi Amiri, the current head of the National Olympic Committee, he announced his resignation in favor of Khosravifa.
Mirasmaili confirmed this news in an interview with IRNA.
