according to this, Bijan Moqanlu The head coach of Iran’s men’s national team said: “We had a good and energetic training session and I hope for all the team members to win honor in the biggest taekwondo event in the world. We really hope to show a good performance in Mexico.” We have a team with a combination of youth and experience. The team members are highly motivated and I, for my part, get a lot of energy when I see their cheerfulness in training.
The head coach of the team also mentioned his training programs and said: we used the maximum time as much as we could and got the necessary benefit, but considering the vision we had until the Olympics, one or two programs were not implemented and I hope that in the future all Plans should be done in line with the national team.
Regarding the presence of four young taekwondo players in the national team, Moqanlu said: We evaluated the weaknesses, strengths and threats that existed in previous years, and many of these teenagers who won medals in the World, Asian and even Olympic competitions The camps are not present, considering these conditions, we tried to make the most of Taekwondo’s potential. Thank God, we have great potential in Iran. It is important to have good organization and planning for optimal use of these funds. We provided a platform for these young people to gain self-confidence and perform ideally in the selection competitions and get the desired result.
He added: “The risk of this youthfulness is for us, but we are happy that we have young people who are so brave and highly motivated, who have gained the self-confidence to fight with the best in the world in a short period of time.” These young people, who are now being sent to the world championships, won good points, they have good conditions in the Olympic ranking, and the most important thing is to maintain and improve this position. I have said many times and I am saying now that 2023 will be different for Iranian taekwondo.
The head coach of the national team said about the evaluation of the opponents of the national team in the world championships: According to the existing conditions, everyone knows that most of the countries of the world have invested a lot in Taekwondo and this field has made good progress at the world level. Now taekwondo does not belong to a particular country, a gold with 120 points in the world championship ranking will change all equations. All countries have planned like us. Thank God, we have a good growing trend. I hope that on the day of the competition, each of our athletes will be able to make the Iranian Taekwondo family happy by presenting their best performance.
In the end, Moqanlu said: I have participated in competitions more than 10 times as a taekwondo player, head coach, trainer and even a spectator. World championships have different conditions than other tournaments, you should not be sad about a loss and happy about a victory. You have to wait for an incident every moment. I hope that we will be in the championship course until the last day and we can reach the desired result.
