However, he believes that in the Asian Championships, the opponent was not very capable and easily went to the championship platform. Now, with the postponement of the Asian Games and the forthcoming 2022 World Cup in Serbia, Mohammad Hossein Mohammadian is determined to be able to play in this world arena and once again test his chances of winning a world medal.
In this regard, Mohammad Hossein Mohammadian in an interview with Mehr reporter said: I do not have a very prominent competitor in Asia because all the capable contenders weighing 67 kg are from the United States, Russia and Georgia who will compete in world competitions. Anyway, the Asian Championships were also good for me and I was able to win a gold medal while playing in an Asian arena.
He added: “Of course, the Asian Championship, according to experts, who believed that it was like a preparatory tournament for our national team, this continental field is one of the effective fields in the ranking of the World Union.” Meanwhile, the Iranian team became the champion in this competition while it had young and promising people in its composition.
Mohammadian continued: “Due to the cancellation of the Asian Games in 2022, my whole focus is on the world championships.” Meanwhile, the international Throne Cup competitions, which have a great impact on the national team selection cycle, will also be held in June, and I hope to be successful in these competitions as well and reach the final stage of the national team selection.
Regarding his plans to participate in the upcoming fields, he said: “In the first place, I should try to attend the national team camps with the best conditions, and in fact, I should focus my thoughts and thoughts on training and reaching the national team.” At the same time, as always, I am at the disposal of the technical staff to implement any decision made by the coaches.
