Napoli lost two players against Barcelona

According to the Tasnim news agency, Matteo Politano and Stanislav Lolotka were left out of Thursday night’s match between Napoli and Barcelona in the round of 16 of the Europa League.

Both players suffer from muscle injuries and therefore can not accompany the team led by Luciano Spalletti on a trip to Spain.

According to a statement issued by Napoli’s medical team after examinations of the two players this morning (Monday), they have not yet reached the level of physical fitness to be able to step on the ball. Politano injured the right thigh, while Lobutka suffered a slight strain on the biceps. Both players have started their recovery process but are still far from ready.

Politano was substituted in Sunday night’s 1-1 draw with Inter in the second half, but Lobotka was on the pitch from start to finish.

In addition to these two, Napoli striker Irving Lusano will not be able to play against Barcelona due to a shoulder injury.
