According to IRNA, Javad Nasiri stated in a press conference today (Wednesday): The letter was sent to the federation of martial arts associations three days ago by Seyed Mohammad Poladgar, Deputy Minister of Professional Sports Development and Championship of the Minister of Sports and Youth, to be transferred to that federation.
He added: “After the transfer of Muaythai from the Martial Arts Federation to the sports associations in 1998, in less than a year, the International Muaythai Federation called for a meeting to approve the statute.” At that time, they demanded our independence and we convened an assembly and I was elected as the president of the association.
Nasiri continued: “Last year, five letters were sent from the International Federation to the Ministry of Sports and the National Olympic Committee, stating that I have a mission to form the Muaythai Federation as a representative of the MoI.” We had a meeting with the officials of the committees and according to the letter of March 19, 2020 (March 29, 1998) of the International Federation, we could not be covered by the federation and we had to work independently.
The president of the non-governmental federation, Muaythai, stated: “In the fall of last year, we convened a meeting and changed the name of the association to the non-governmental federation and informed the world federation. In February, we held the assembly in accordance with the statute.” The letter of the assembly was registered with the Ministry of Sports and the National Olympic Committee.
Nasiri said: “If I say something against the laws of my country, I will accept whatever they say.” All my actions were in accordance with the law. In my letter to the Minister of Sports, I explained that we had acted in accordance with the law. The Ministry of Sports, the supervisory bodies and the inspection organization will come, and if we have any violations, we will accept whatever they say.
He added: “If they want to improve agility, they should transfer karate, taekwondo, wushu, judo, boxing and kung fu to the federation of martial arts associations, and then we will go.” Our country’s soldier .
The head of the country’s Muaytah stated: The International Federation congratulated Iran on the formation of the Muaytah Federation, which was carried out in accordance with the 2020 + 5 resolution of the International Olympic Committee. We had three expeditions in these few years, in each of which we took between 40 and 50 people to the competitions. Why should not we use international communication? Our task is clear, the Muaythai Federation does not deviate from its position in any way according to the law. We are the only custodian of hairdressing in Iran.
Nasiri, in response to the question of what would happen if the federation of martial arts associations set up another team and appointed a supervisor for it, said: “This issue will have a heavy nature for Iranian sports.” If the assembly wants to change me, which is not a problem, but it is not possible to change it in another way. We cannot always move between federations. We have become non-governmental according to the law of the federation.
He said: “This event by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) will have serious implications for Iranian sports and can not be decided based on personal taste.” When we were in the association, they did not give us a thousand tomans. The Muaythai family pursues its work with the most severe problems.
Nasiri added: “They did not do anything for us and where is the budget for the money they gave to our federation?” And where did it cost? We did not threaten anyone, and we only say why they stood in front of the barracks when we followed the law. No discipline or federation is a family or individual inheritance. We acted in accordance with the decree of the Presidential Institution and the Ministry of Sports, and everything is legal. I am working for the right to capital, and rest assured, my effort is for the advancement of the country’s sports.
