Nekounam: It is not right to talk about refereeing before the game / we do not have the right to broadcast, television broadcasting is not for everyone

According to Fars News Agency, Javad Nekounam, the head coach of the Khuzestan Steel team, stated in a press conference before the match against the fans, regarding tomorrow’s match: “Like all games, we have a difficult match.” We need good planning and high concentration. Tomorrow we have to pay attention to the tactical points we have to do. Considering the conditions and the process that our team had, I hope we will enter the field with high motivation and concentration in order to get the maximum points and improve our conditions in the table.

Regarding the fact that the opposing team talked about refereeing issues, he replied: “It is not right to talk about refereeing before the game.” We expect the arbitrator to do justice. I heard the words of Reza (Enayati) who is one of my good friends. No referee can judge in such a way that the result is off the field.

“There are refereeing mistakes in all competitions,” he said. We have seen many refereeing mistakes in football, but all mistakes have been inadvertent. No referee likes to make mistakes, but our dear referees have definitely made mistakes, and we have seen this in international matches. I have never seen an off-field match. So far, refereeing mistakes have been both to my advantage and to my detriment, but it is not for anyone to be able to predict the outcome out of the game and do so. Certainly we footballers expect the referee to have the best performance and any team that deserves to win. This is definitely very important for us footballers. Those who are sympathetic to this football, we all want them to have the best performance.

Regarding the complaints of steel fans about the ambiguity in the live broadcast of tomorrow’s match, he said: “There are a series of problems.” We have live broadcasts of the games so that we can have the best performance for our fans. When there is a corona and there are no fans in the stadium, we play for the people, the fans and the football community to have fun.

The head coach of Foolad added: Many teams do not have the right to broadcast TV, which no team receives. So what are we playing football for? Do we play for me to see the coach and the players of the game? No. There must be a plan so that everyone can see and enjoy the game. Thank God, there are so many networks on our national television and we can provide the conditions with good planning so that everyone can watch the game.

“The next thing I want to talk about is the Russia-Ukraine war and what is happening,” Nekounam said, referring to recent events and the war in Ukraine. We are all against war, I am neither political nor do I want to enter politics. This has happened to Ukraine now, and it has happened to Yemen, Syria and Palestine before. It does not matter if this happens anywhere in the world, we are against war and bloodshed. Because in all these situations that arise, only the people, the children and those who lose their lives in this way, suffer the most.

The head coach of Foolad continued his speech as follows: I myself have been living in Khuzestan for three years and there are still traces of the war in this province. You can still feel the wound left on the body of Khuzestan. This will definitely happen for all countries, and I hope there will never be war and there will always be peace and tranquility.

“You saw that football also suffered from this issue,” Nekounam said. The World Cup play-offs, the Champions League final, the non-playing of some countries and many other events that I hope will never be a war and that there will be peace and tranquility everywhere, especially for children.
