According to the Mehr correspondent, the cancellation of sending our country’s freestyle and western wrestling teams to the Asian Championships took place while, according to the announcement of the Wrestling Federation, these fights were to be held in Saudi Arabia. With the cancellation of Saudi Arabia, Kyrgyzstan was given the hosting of the tournament, and as the Iranian delegation is currently in the camp of the youth and senior teams and has been sent to foreign tournaments, they will be tested in these stadiums.
Another reason for the decision was the federation’s financial problems and constraints, which also ruled out sending under-23 teams to the Asian Championships due to the prioritization of international missions. Of course, some other Asian countries are also said to have made the same decision and will not go to Kyrgyzstan due to the multiplicity of international competitions around the world.
