One thousand billion rials of banking facilities will be allocated to women entrepreneurs in Golestan



Seyed Mohammad Dehnavi said in a meeting with women entrepreneurs in Golestan on Wednesday: “These banking facilities will be allocated with priority to the agricultural, industry and handicrafts sectors, provided that the relevant agencies act quickly.”

She also called for more support for women’s entrepreneurship from the Golestan General Directorate of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare.

Dehnavi emphasized on investing in creating an industrial town of handicrafts in Golestan and added: the need for this issue is felt and following it up with the CEO of the province’s industrial towns company is on the agenda.

Regarding the creation of a handicrafts market, he said: “This project is planned for Gorgan and the necessary assistance will be provided to the relevant agencies.”

He continued: Golestan has a good capacity in the field of handicraft production and using this neglected capacity in wealth production is essential for households.

In this meeting, a number of women entrepreneurs active in Golestan province pointed out the capacities and obstacles in the way of their activities.

According to the 1995 census, Golestan has a population of 1,869 people consisting of different ethnicities and religions, 49% of whom are women.
