Persepolis coach: This year, cyberspace was the league champion, not Esteghlal! / No one saw my efforts

In an interview with a sports reporter of Tasnim News Agency, Mazaher Rahimpour stated about his resignation from the technical staff of Persepolis: “The champion of the league was cyberspace, not Esteghlal.” Cyberspace is everywhere in the world, but because we are amateurs, it has a greater impact and made us see strange things. We were a group whose work record is not specific to Persepolis, our record was the phenomenon of Mashhad. The team had a performance with ordinary players who enjoyed the team’s performance when the fans watched, but when we came to Persepolis, everyone looked at us in a different way and said that someone had come; Because we were not foreigners.

He continued: “I joined the team that I was a fan of for many years and the results show that we were strong in all aspects, but this year we were really annoyed and our families were also under pressure. The last time that happened in Tabriz, I thanked God a thousand times that I returned home safe and sound. Football is for fun, not obscenity. I have a doctorate in sports and I teach at the university and these things are indigestible to me.

In response to the question whether the separation from this team was his decision or the club made such a request, the coach of Persepolis said: I decided to leave Persepolis myself. I have worked with Golmohammadi for many years and I have enjoyed it. I left everything I had for this coach. I did not look at how much my contract was, I worked with all my might, but these things are normal and it is not always possible to work with a team.

Rahimpour clarified about the criticism of Persepolis fans in cyberspace about the performance of the technical staff of this team: I do not involve myself much in cyberspace, but I am upset about the gratitude. It’s very hard for you when you go out with family and someone says something. Our worst result in Persepolis was this year’s runner-up. As I said, cyberspace won our league this year. Whatever they did in previous years, they did not destroy our team, but this year, strange things happened in this atmosphere. I sacrificed myself to relieve the pressure on Golmohammadi and the children.

He added: “Even now my head is high; We experienced two league titles, a Super Cup and an appearance in the Asian final. This year we also brought a runner-up which I think was very valuable. In Tabriz, we were stoned; May God have mercy on their father, who publicly said that we are enemies with you, but some of them spent money to create an atmosphere in cyberspace and to disintegrate the team. These things happened to me because I was a cheap coach or I was not a foreigner. Maybe it would not have happened if I had signed a high contract! How many people were injured during Persepolis Branco’s time? Look this year, we did not have a chance to give the kids a break or recovery. We didn’t have a good pre-season either.

“Look at last year, when all the teams were resting, we trained for a month to play against Tajikistan,” said the Persepolis coach. After that, we practiced with Al-Hilal for a month until the game. You do not see such a situation anywhere in the world. When you exercise constantly, your body gets worn out. We are not robots!

Rahimpour said: “Many fans say that the players were not in good physical condition, but we have GPS. In the game of the 29th week, I looked at Siamak Nemati. He ran 12.6 km, which is the world average.” We lost and were harassed elsewhere. Al-Haq and Al-Ansaf worked hard for the team; Let me give you an example. Vahid Amiri’s injury was gradual and he played in club, national and AFC Champions League games for a year and a half.

He continued: Under what circumstances did Jesus give the rope? The ground was frozen when we were playing at Samen Stadium in Mashhad. I told the children to be careful, but his foot slipped and he ligated. It was all weird. My feeling is that the children have not rested well in the last 3 years and their mental motivation has decreased. Al-Kathir was ready to play immediately after being suspended for several months, but no one asked how this player was prepared. During solitary confinement, I worked with him to prepare. Nobody saw these. During the Eid holidays, I kept my wife and children at home to prepare the player. They wanted to secretly film Al-Kathir’s training in order to deprive him again, but we did not allow this. I worked with the children with these problems, but no one saw my trouble.

Referring to the AFC Champions League final, the Persepolis coach explained: “In Qatar, our games were once every three days. Do you know how the children recovered there?” It was very difficult in Corona. In those circumstances, things are very decisive. I filled the tub with ice to help the kids recover. I carried all the ice myself. I asked the authorities to freeze me. No one saw that I worked for myself and the team I loved. I never said that. Ali Shojaei injured his ankle when he had a contract with us. I worked with him in the gym for an hour and a half every day for 25 consecutive days so that he could take the final penalty and we could go to the Asian final. In the Indian tournament, I asked them to buy me an inflatable pool so that we could provide recovery conditions for the players in that weather and conditions. Once, even the conditions for inflating inflatable pools were not provided, and I had to inflate these pools with my mouth so that the players could recover.

Mazaheri reminded: I enjoyed working with Yahya Golmohammadi and the staff we had, and right now I say that Golmohammadi is the best coach in Iran and Asia. The federation must take care of Yahya and keep him for the future of the national team. I never saw Golmohammadi get angry, but this year the situation was so bad that he lost his temper once or twice. Even now, I chose not to be on the team and I felt that I could help. I also wish success for Persepolis.
