Poladgar: Having an Olympic medal is the right of our country’s judo/ Mirasmaili had a difficult year

According to the sports reporter of Fars News Agency, the general and annual assembly of the Judo Federation was held at 10:00 am today, Wednesday, July 29, in the Farsi master hall of the National Olympic and Paralympic Academy.

In the framework of the forum, Mohammad Poladgar, the vice president of championship and professional sports development of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, said: First of all, I say goodbye to Arash Mirasmaili, the president of the Judo Federation, who spent a difficult year, and I hope that the coming days will be better days for Iranian judo.

He added: Tax debt was a cruel thing that was done to the federations. I still did not get my answer regarding why there was silence for years and suddenly the tax organization entered this issue. If it was legally a tax for the federations, it should have been recorded in the auditors’ report, but we did not receive any response.

The deputy of the development of championship and professional sports of the Ministry of Sports noted: Friends in the tax department entered in 1996 and presented strange figures for the federations, while sports itself needs financial support. Judo’s tax figure is not so much compared to other federations. I want Mirasmaili to enter into this issue so that it can be resolved for the next assembly.

He said: The judo system should have been launched earlier to create a stable income for the federation, and in the future, the share of the delegations will be paid to them at once. Membership in this system is important because you should be able to consider special services for members to create appeal. The number of members will increase the value of the application, which should be taken seriously.

At the end of his speech, Pouladegar pointed out: It is not the right of Iranian judo not to have an Olympic medal in its record. Especially in the Sydney Olympics, we saw that it went to the medal limit, but it didn’t happen. Apart from that, Iran’s judo suffered a series of bad luck, but there is hope that we will see a medal in this discipline in the upcoming Olympics. Judo is a genuine discipline and its background is in our military, so it is the unquestionable right of the athlete to win a medal in the Olympics, and I hope we will see this happen in the Paris Olympics.
