According to the Mehr correspondent, according to the calendar of the World Wrestling Union, the world championship wrestling competitions are scheduled to be held from September 19 to 27, 2022, hosted by Belgrade, Serbia. Meanwhile, according to the same calendar, the Asian Games wrestling competitions will be held in China immediately after 3 days and from September 20 to October 23.
This time symmetry and the short distance between these two global and Asian events have caused many countries claiming the ancient continent to face this schedule and demand a change in the timing of global competitions.
More than 30 countries from Asia, including Iran, are said to be in talks with the World Wrestling Union to postpone Serbia until the 2022 World Championships.
Of course, there is still no final change from the World Wrestling Union, and the trustees of our country’s wrestling federation are waiting for the union’s decision to take special measures in this regard if they oppose the request of the Asian claimants.
