Qaidi: For me to stay in Esteghlal, nothing has happened yet/ the national team should be whipped

According to the sports reporter of Tasnim news agency, Mehdi Qaidi said after the national team’s return from Uzbekistan: The tournament was very good and we were able to win the championship with a very good quality. This can help us in the future. It didn’t matter what teams we were playing and our goal was important. We hope that this championship will increase our motivation for the Asian Nations Cup.

He said about the team photo taken before the game against Uzbekistan: That photo was more to show how united we are and that we play together to achieve success.

In response to the fact that the game against Uzbekistan became violent, the player of the national team noted: Uzbekistan was a very good team that played in its own field and in the presence of its spectators. The events of the game were normal and with our focus we were able to win a difficult game.

Qaidi, in response to the question that, as a national player, does he expect that the national team should play bigger games than the Nations Cup? He clarified: One hundred percent, because the more we get whipped, it can help us in the Nations Cup. The elders and coaches of the team also have the same opinion.

Reacting to the selection of Javad Nekonam as the head coach of Esteghlal, he said: Congratulations to Esteghlal fans.

In response to the question that he will stay in Esteghlal and that Hojjat Karimi has announced that he will keep him in Esteghlal?, Qaidi clarified: God willing, whatever is good will happen, for now nothing has happened. I have always said that I love independence.

In response to the question, did the club take any action to keep him in Esteghlal? He said: I don’t know, I haven’t been in touch with my program manager for the past few days and we need to talk and see what happens.
