Hossein Qomi, in an interview with the sports reporter of Fars news agency, in response to the question that there have been changes in the technical staff in the first stage of the camp, said: This stage of the camp has started with the presence of 28 national team members, of course, there have been changes in the staff. has been created, Hamed Malek Mohammadi has been added to the national team as a specialist and Mousavi as a bodybuilding coach. In the first stage, we have invited all the medalists in the adult championships of the country to the camp. We have decided to send a team from among the people present in the camp to the Tunisian tournament, this team will be sent in the form of youth and adults.

In response to the question of whether you are going to participate in several international tournaments as a preparatory meeting to participate in the Asian Championship, he said: Our goal is that the judokas present in the national team camp will be tested in these competitions and finally we can Identify good people and send them to the Asian Championship. If the players sent to the Tunisian tournament perform well, we will use them in the next tournaments. But we try to use all the athletes who are present in the camps in the expedition tournaments.

The head coach of the men’s national judo team continued his speech and stated: We are supposed to participate in 2 to 3 other tournaments besides the Tunisian tournament. We can keep the children who are in the camp ready by sending them to foreign tournaments and camps. Anyway, we have been behind the world judo for several years due to the suspension and we have distanced ourselves from the world judo, and in order to be updated, we have to participate in various tournaments.

In response to the question of whether the national team will be sent with a full composition to participate in the Asian Championship, considering the distance between Iranian judo and the judo of Asia and the world, he said: It is not yet clear whether to participate in the championship. Whether we will be sent to Asia with the full team or not, of course, everything depends on the performance of the judokas present in the camps, we have to see how they perform in the upcoming tournaments and joint camps that we will have. After that, we will decide to send to the Asian Championship. Definitely, anyone who can shine in the national team camp, tournaments and joint camps that we will have will be sent to the Asian Championship. In any case, we are not supposed to be the bell of entertainment for the teams present in the Asian Championship.

At the end of his speech, the head coach of the national judo team said: We have returned to the competition after a four-year suspension, and in order to return to the process of winning medals, we undoubtedly need time to be able to win medals again.
