Rahmati: We are counting the minutes to start the game/ the opponent is more aggressive

According to Mehr news agency, Seyed Mehdi Rahmati said in a press conference before his team’s meeting with Mumbai City on Monday: Considering that Nasaji is participating in the Asian Champions League for the first time. I, the team members and the players have a strong motivation to defend the reputation of Iranian football.

An Indian journalist asked Rahmati that Mumbai City has 6 foreign players and you have fewer foreign players, does this matter in tomorrow’s game or not, to which head coach Nasaji replied: “Would it have made a difference if we had more foreign players?” One of the foreign players in our team has not been allowed to enter India.

He emphasized: “Football is a place of friendship and camaraderie.” I currently do not have one of the good foreign players in my team. Instead of two strikers in tomorrow’s game, I have only one striker, but we did not cooperate.

The head coach of the Iran textile football team emphasized: Our opponent tomorrow has 6 foreign players and uses 3-4 national players, this team has a history of participating in the Asian Champions League and we have prepared ourselves to play against a good team. . Of course, we have players who have a history of participating in this tournament and there are young people in our team who intend to show themselves to Asian football.

Rahmati stressed: Not giving visa to Alaa Abbas is a big problem for us, I hope AFC has a solution for such cases because I don’t think other teams will accept to buy players and spend money but not allow them to enter India.

Referring to the condition of Mumbai City, he said: We have watched two games of this team this year, we tried to check last year’s games of this team as well. We feel the energy of our team’s fans from Iran next to us and I hope that Iranian loved ones living in India will be with us tomorrow and support the representative of Iran.

In response to the question that considering the weather conditions in India and the rain, Rahmati said: “This weather is similar to the weather conditions in Qaimshahr.” The weather was not bad yesterday either, we played our three league games in Qaimshahr and we have no problem with the weather.

Mehrdad Abdi, the captain of Nasaji Iran, said: “After winning the Iran National Cup, we were able to enter this competition and we were counting the minutes to get here and we hope to have the best performance as a representative of Iran.”

He added: Many of our players are young, but many of them have experience in Asia. We all had a lot of motivation for the first Asian textile game and I am confident that we can have good days in the Champions League.
