According to Tasnim news agency, with the end of the European Champions League group stage games, the draw for the 18th final stage of this competition was held today (Monday) at the UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, and the 16 teams that qualified for the first elimination stage knew their rivals.
According to the rules and based on the position of the teams in the group stage, the promoted teams were placed in two groups, the main groups and the second teams. In the draw of this stage, not only the teams of the same pot, but also the teams of the same country and group did not face each other.
In the pot of the main groups, the teams of Napoli (Italy – A), Porto (Portugal – B), Bayern Munich (Germany – C), Tottenham (England – D), Chelsea (England – E), Real Madrid (Spain – F), Manchester City (England – G) and Benfica (Portugal – H) were placed.
In the pot of the second teams, Liverpool (England – A), Club Brugge (Belgium – B), Inter (Italy – C), Eintracht Frankfurt (Germany – D), Milan (Italy – E), Leipzig (Germany – F), Dortmund (Germany – G) and Paris Saint-Germain (France – H).
All the teams in the second pot will be hosts in the away games.

The first-leg matches of the round of 18 will be held in two weeks from February 14 to 22, 2023, and the return matches will be held between the 7th and 15th of March. Two days after the games of this stage, the draw for the next stages of the Champions League will be held.
