According to Mehr News Agency, the 8th CAF Congress was held yesterday in Dushanbe, while FIFA President Gianni Infantino, Asian Football Confederation President Sheikh Salman and Football Federation President and Vice President of the Asian Football Confederation Mehdi Taj were also present.
According to the website of the Football Federation, Infantino said in his speech at this summit: The World Cup in Qatar was an important and exceptional experience for football in the Asian continent. I think Asian teams can benefit from the technical experiences related to these competitions for a long time.
He added: I watched most of the games closely. Iran’s national team was also present in this tournament like the previous two rounds of the World Cup, and the players of this team fought to achieve success. Although they scored only one goal short of advancing, the effort of the Iranian national team was commendable.
