Repetition of a nightmare for Italy with failure in direct ascent / Britain travels to Qatar with San Marino shots


According to Tasnim news agency, on the night before the final of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers in Europe, last night (Monday) eight games were played in three groups F, C and I, the most important of which were the national teams of Switzerland, England and Scotland. They won over their rivals.

In Group C, the Italian national team, which had to beat its host Northern Ireland in Belfast to advance, failed to score better than a goalless draw at the end of the 90th minute. This result was achieved while in the other match of this group, the Swiss national team defeated its guest Bulgaria with a score of 4: 0. Okafor scored in the 48th minute, Vargas in the 57th minute, Eaton in the 72nd minute and Freuler in the 90 + 1 minute for Switzerland.

With its fifth victory, Switzerland gained 18 points and climbed to the top of Group C to qualify as the first team to advance directly to the World Cup. In the last game of Group F‌, the team of the occupying regime of Jerusalem crossed the barrier of their guest Faroe Islands with a result of 3: 2.

In other games of this group, the Albanian national team defeated Andorra with a single goal in the 73rd minute from the penalty spot. Poland also lost 2-1 to its guest Hungary. Swederski scored Poland’s only goal in the 61st minute, with Schaefer scoring in the 37th minute and Gazdag in the 80th minute for Hungary. Despite this defeat, Poland remains in second place in the table and goes to the playoffs where they will try their luck to advance to the next stage of the competition.
