According to Tasnim news agency, Borussia Dortmund officially announced the one-year contract extension of Marco Reus this afternoon (Thursday). In this way, this 33-year-old midfielder stayed in his hometown team until the end of the 2023-24 season.
This German midfielder, who has been a member of Borussia Dortmund since 2012, will make his 12th appearance in this Bundesliga team next season. So far, he has played in 382 games for Westphalia and scored 161 goals.
Reus, who has helped Dortmund win two German Cups and two German Super Cups, needs just 16 more goals to surpass Eddie Preisler’s record of 177 goals as Dortmund’s all-time top scorer.
