According to the Mehr correspondent, the international freestyle wrestling competitions of the Yashardoglu Cup, as the first ranking field of the World Wrestling Union, will be held from March 27 to 29 in Istanbul, Turkey.
Accordingly, many contending countries in the world have opened special accounts to participate in these competitions, and Russia is one of the main teams participating in this international arena. For this reason, the Russian team will go to Turkey with some of its title figures to test its members well.
One of the highlights of the selection process for the Russian team sent to the Yashardogu Cup is the presence of the top members of the Yarigin Cup, which was recently held in Krasnoyarsk.
However, the composition of the Russian freestyle wrestling team to be sent to Turkey was announced as follows:
57 kg: Ramiz Gamzatov, Yarigin Cup winner
65kg: World and European champion Zagir Shahif and Yarigin Cup champion Shamil Mammadov
70 kg: Victor Rasadin, Yarigin Cup champion
74kg: Zaurbek Sidakov, World and Olympic gold medalist, and Cherman Walif, Yarigin Cup winner
92 kg: Guram Chertkov, Yarigin Cup champion
97kg: Yarygin Cup runner-up Shamil Musayev and European champion Alikhan Jibrilov
125 kg: Anzur Khizrif, Yarigin Cup champion
According to the Mehr reporter, our selected freestyle wrestling team will also participate in the Turkish Yashardoglu Cup with 13 wrestlers.
