According to IRNA, Iranian taekwondo legend Hadi Saei yesterday (Wednesday) managed to end the period of Mohammad Poladgar in Taekwondo with a majority of votes and take over the presidency of this federation.
However, Saei issued a statement this afternoon in response to his election as president of the Taekwondo Federation.

While offering condolences on the occasion of the mourning days of the daughter of the Holy Prophet, Ms. Fatemeh Zahra (AS) and the second anniversary of the martyrdom of Sardar Delha; I would like to thank each and every member of the Taekwondo Association who trusted me and gave me the helm of this honorable Olympic discipline.
